TrendFeed

TrendFeed is a predictive marketing and trends intelligence solution. This tool is designed to provide early insights into a user’s market, their competitors, and niche interests. TrendFeed app can be found in the Semrush App Center.

How Can TrendFeed Help Me? 

There are several ways TrendFeed can help you with your marketing: 

  • Get trending stories and top news before your competitors 
  • Gather cutting-edge insights to feed your content marketing strategy 
  • Deliver emerging information to your followers—signaling brand authority
  • Find, track, and respond to negative PR and brand crises 

Pricing 

The price for the TrendFeed app is 25$/month. A free, 7-day trial is available for all users.

What is Included with TrendFeed? 

With TrendFeed you get access to 200 topic feeds across 30 categories. These topic feeds are coalesced into one main feed that you can customize.

TrendFeed Search 

You can narrow down the search with keywords related to your industry, interests, competitors, etc. We recommend limiting your search to 1 to 2 words.

Trends Sidebar 

If you’re not sure exactly what keywords you would like to search for, you can also explore the 30 pre-chosen trend topics to find emerging stories to feed your content marketing.

On the left-hand side of the screen, you can click on a main topic to reveal subcategories of feeds to choose from. Get a broad sense of what is happening in one of these 30 categories, or get the niche, specific stories you’re looking for in a particular industry/interest. 

Save Your Favorite Feeds 

You can curate a list of your favorite feeds up at the top left-hand corner of the main TrendFeed screen. Just click on the “favorite” star of any of the feeds (or subcategories) to add it to your favorites list.

You can access your Favorite Feeds by clicking on the dropdown on the top-left hand corner of the screen.

Save Your Favorite Trends 

You can also save your favorite articles or “Trends” by clicking on the bookmark located in the bottom left corner of each article.

Share Your Favorite Trends 

Keep your team and shareholders informed by sharing the most relevant information and Trends that you discover. Simply click on the “Share” arrow at the bottom right-hand corner of each Trend article.

A pop-up window will appear that allows you to share the Trend via social media, email, Dropbox, or you can copy the link to use at a later time. 

Add Your Commentary

Select contrarian or supportive commentary for the news article. This feature generates editable, SEO-optimized contrarian or supportive comments for a topic with the help of AI.

You can then manually edit the response, shuffle the response or share the comment. Shuffling the response will generate a new comment for the topic.

Trending Levels 

In the middle of each Trend article you will see a “Trending Level” score. The scores are broken down into three categories: 

  • Elevated (green) 
  • High (yellow) 
  • Extreme (red)

These levels describe a weight assigned to each Trend based on algorithm data that refreshes every hour. The more engagement a post has, the higher its trending level will be. 

Data 

Data is collected from Twitter and in real-time predicts which piece of content is the most relevant, timely and engaging as it relates to a specific topic. The TrendFeed is updated hourly. 

We use a CEP (complex event processing) approach to identifying trend levels. Our approach includes: stream aggregation, data enrichment, predictive algorithm, pattern recognition and matching, filtering, correlation, and anomaly detection.

There are no limits to the number of searches you can do in TrendFeed per day.
